Items made of cowhide or buffalo leather are somewhat more robust and stronger due to the thicker material, whereas goatskin products are more flexible and also become considerably softer over time. Our natural products are vegetable-tanned using traditional methods and dyed and fat-treated using plant-based dyes, creating the unmistakable vintage look of these bags. This completely natural process creates our unique leather scent, which can sometimes be very intense but quickly diminishes with regular wear. The leather surface may show minor scratches or signs of wear, as our goats are raised outdoors. But don't panic! A touch of beeswax perfectly smooths out minor imperfections, enhances the vintage look, and underscores the individuality of your bag.
